Kate’s sister-in-law, Julie, blogs about why we should NOT watch the premiere of “Jon and Kate plus Eight” tonight.  She says “The episodes are also staged. Here’s how it works…there is a staff of people reading these blogs and they base the shows around what people are talking about. I haven’t watched many episodes, but I do know some of the behind the scenes events.”

Now I don’t know if I should watch it tonight. I sort of feel like it’s Jon and Kate’s decision on whether or not they continue on with the show.  If they know things are going to be staged then they should quit! Maybe they are in a contract that they can’t break. We will never know the truth.

We went to the Oakland Zoo on Saturday for “Celebrating Elephant’s Day”. It was so cool!! We have a membership to the zoo and absolutely love it. We arrived 20 minutes before they opened and we were so glad because we were the first in line! We got right in and went straight to the line for the tour of the elephant barn. We were the first on the list! They took us down to the area where the elephants sleep. They only sleep inside when the weather is not acceptable, which is usually only about 3 months of the year.  We learned all about how they keep them busy when they are inside at night. Then they showed us where they put the elephants when they need to clean their feet  or give them a check-up. We learned a lot. Another interesting thing we learned was that everytime they do something the trainer asks them to do they get a treat but they never make the elephants do anything they don’t want to do. We had a great day and learned a lot!!

Have you seen the new show Harper’s Island on CBS? It’s about a young woman, Abby, that goes back to Harper’s Island after 7 years of being away. The reason for going back is her best friend is getting married to the woman of his dreams. The kicker is that 7 years before a bunch of people were killed and hanged from a large tree. Abby was the first to find the tree and her mother hanging from it. Supposedly Abby’s farther, the sheriff, killed the physco who hanged all those people, but as people from the wedding guest list start dieing, Abby starts to wonder if he’s really dead. I’m really into it!

I am really starting to get worried about the swine flu!! I have two little ones and am now scared that they could be exposed. My son has a cold and my husband has me all freaked out that it’s the Swine flu or if it isn’t it could turn into the swine flu!! So I have been giving him Motrin and keeping a close eye on him.  I have been watching the news and they aren’t as frantic about it as my husband is, but I am glad that he is so worried. It’s better than not even thinking about it. Every time we went out last week  we would use hand santizer on the carts and then again after we left the store.  Hopefully it will slowly start dieing of and we won’t have to worry about this pandemic!!

I found a really great site for those of you who are horse lovers. I do not have a horse myself  but many of my friends do and their is a true camaraderie between horse owners and horse lovers. I am very excited to let them know about this if site, if they don’t already know about it. A lot of them are single and I think they could really benefit from this unique site.  The site is called EquestrianCupid.com and it’s a dating site for the Equestrian types. At equestrian cupid they are different than many of  the other dating sites out their because it matches you with someone that has your same interest and hobby….horses!! But they are more than just a dating service. You can learn a lot from this site as well as make new friends to ride with and maybe they can give you new insight on your equestrian lifestyle. After doing some raving about Google ad sense I am amazed with this marketing tool. Google came up with a product that they call Google ad sense. This allows individual people who want to advertise allows their advertisement to be placed in positioning on the Internet where it is most likely to be seen. Google pays individual websites to place their ads on. Google determines the kind of avatar is that will suit your site the best. For example if you have a golf website Google will match up people that are selling golf equipment to them. Or if you are a blog site depending on which you are writing about Google will match up advertisers to your content. From talking to several different people that have used Google ad sense to promote their website they think there is a lot of value in it. They say they seem to do a campaign for about 23 weeks and stopped for a week or two and then started up again. This drives big dollars for the companies who say they use it and the repeated customers that come back once they find them through this service is high. No wonder why Google is one of the top companies in the US right now and their stocks are outrageous. This is such a great way to advertise for everyone. I just wish I bought Google stock when they first came out. Don’t we all?

I always thought they were a cute couple. I am glad they are back together.

Ever since Travis’ horrible plane crash last year he and Shanna have been together. They were together recently with their children at a Grammy Kick off event.
